About SDV&CC
The Siskiyou Domestic Violence & Crisis Center (SDV&CC) is a non-profit, non-discriminatory organization (since 1981) that provides services in Siskiyou County to victims of domestic violence and sexual assault. Services include shelter, counseling, legal assistance, advocacy, household establishment assistance, emergency food/clothing, transportation, referrals, and accompaniment.

SDV&CC offers free, confidential services in English and Spanish to anyone in crisis and operates the only toll free 24-hour/7 day per week domestic violence and sexual assault hotline in the county. The client services center (business office) is open Monday-Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. SDV&CC provides training to other social service agencies and gives public presentations on the dynamics of domestic violence and sexual assault to community groups.

In addition to the above services, SDV&CC provides violence prevention education to school children throughout Siskiyou County from pre-school through the community college level. The classes taught are age appropriate and range in scope from teaching the very young about “good touch, bad touch” to dealing with the sensitive topics of rape prevention and dating violence to high school and college students.

Along with all other domestic violence programs in California, SDV&CC has recently undergone severe budget cuts. The State of California has ceased funding domestic violence programs, making fund raising events and private donations more important than ever. This event could not have come at a better time.

Thank you for your interest in their program and for helping them to continue providing services to victims of domestic violence and sexual assault.
